The Emerging Workplace Leaders have again led the judging process for the PFM Young Leader of the Year 2021, with the process going ahead in person this year after a virtual process in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
After a fierce first round of submissions the shortlisted finalists are:
- Tom Yardley, Mite
- Edward Wick, Penguin FM
- Charlotte Coles-Morris, Atalian Servest
- Terri Dale, Wates
Phil Matis, EWL Co-Chair and Operations Director for Churchill Group said “As with all previous years, the standard of submission for the Young Leader of the Year Award have simply been outstanding. The candidates certainly made it difficult for the panel, and it really is a privilege to see what outstanding people we have coming up in the industry.
“The award is all about recognising the significant talents of young managers who have made a great impact to the industry early on in their careers; and so far, we have seen just that. For the next phase, the candidates are given a platform to present to, and be interviewed by industry renowned experts on selected topics, before being selected for the final stage of the awards. Congratulations to all four of you, and good luck!”
PFM Awards 2021 – 3rd November – Don’t Miss It!
Another long-established and highly rewarding aspect within the PFM Partnership Awards is the Young Leader of the year category. The value of this is clearly discernible simply by looking at the previous winners and conducting a quick online search to see where they are now. The same can be said for all those reaching the finalist stage and receiving just rewards for their exemplary efforts. Yet another extremely enjoyable aspect of the YLOTY category is our collaboration with Emerging Workplace Leaders (EWL), including attendance at their online and live events that always deliver numerous benefits within the overall focus of publicising the wealth of young talent within our industry and the many opportunities it offers for rewarding careers.Dennis Flower, PFM Editor
