Firstly, we need to say a huge thank you to the following:
- The EWL Committee – Thank you for all of your hard work, dedication and volunteering – there’s lot’s of work that goes on behind the scenes in organising all of our events, but specifically the YLOTY!
- PFM – We have worked in collaboration with the PFM to run the Young Leader of the Year Award for over a decade, and the partnership and awards process remains stronger than ever!
- Boden Group – Boden Group have sponsored the award for the past 4 years. James Fitzpatrick, Managing Director comments:
“Now more than ever, facilities management has a seat at the table in helping to set strategy, in planning for the future, and in thinking creatively about how the workplace of the future might function. One of the reasons we love the Young Leader of the Year Award, and choose to sponsor it, is because we believe the answer to these problems is, in fact, you. Your talent, your creativity, your innovative ways of thinking – are what this industry is crying out for. Whether that’s in the way you run your business, the way you liaise with your clients, the way you provide your services, or the way you position yourself and your brand within the marketplace, each of you have shown just how vital it is to have young leaders within FM organisations”
- Vital Spaces – The event took place at the fantastic showcase Vital Spaces, HQ at One Southampton Place in London. The EWL is a voluntary, self-funded organisation; and without the generosity and support of organisations to provide sponsorship, venues and catering, these events would simply not happen. Vital Spaces, provided a team of expert hosts to provide outstanding customer service, canapé’s, champagne, wine, soft drinks, tea and coffee. The space was the very definition of what a flexible, hybrid workplace can look like; and IT/AV Set-up was outstanding!
Secondly, to the shortlisted finalists, we would like to say…..well, just WOW!
You guys absolutely smashed it! Listening to your journey’s, your thoughts around collaboration and hybrid working, and how you want to affect positive change was simply inspiring. you should be immensely proud of yourselves! We genuinely hope you have enjoyed the process, now it’s time to relax and look forward to the PFM Awards on the 2nd November – we look forward to you joining us!
